I agree with Noam Chomsky’s quote that to increase the scope of human freedom, it makes sense to challenge, and hopefully dismantle, illegitimate structures of authority, hierarchy and domination in every aspect of life. That includes the physical, social, mental and spiritual aspect of life.
For example, when the self-serving structures and profit-oriented systems of healthcare authorities are threatening our physical health and well-being, we will need to challenge them, and at the same time learn to tap on the inner physician in us to stay well and healthy. Similarly, when sociopolitical authorities are encroaching on our personal freedom, or when mass media are trying to manipulate us, or when religious authorities are trying to control us with guilt and fear, we will need to challenge them, and at the same time learn to be guided by our inner wisdom and intuition, and walk in freedom from fear, shame and condemnation. We will then enjoy greater freedom physically, socially, mentally and spiritually, as we are meant to be because freedom is our birthright.
